Psychology Session Fees

Discover professional psychological care with me, George Schneider, in Randwick, Surry Hills, and online.

I offer individual sessions for $240, lasting 50 minutes, ensuring you receive quality support tailored to your needs. While a referral is not required for sessions, you can a rebate of $98.95 for up to 10 sessions per calendar year with a valid referral and Mental Health Care Plan.

The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends a consultation rate of $318 for 46–60 minutes. By offering my services below this guideline, I strive to accessible, client-focused support without compromising quality.

I also provide a sliding scale for those facing financial barriers, including students and low-income households. If fees are a concern, please reach out to discuss ways to make sessions more accessible.

Medicare Processing

Medicare rebates are deposited directly into your nominated bank account once the invoice for the session has been settled in full. I can submit rebates on your behalf, which are usually refunded within 48 hours.

Private Health Insurance

Private health insurance claims can be made online after your appointment, provided your cover extends to Psychology. Please note: you cannot claim from Medicare as well as private health insurance.

NDIS

I accept NDIS clients, and will work with you to ensure our sessions work toward meeting your goals. I am able to invoice the NDIS or your plan manager.

NSW Workers Compensation (SIRA)

I accept referrals for psychological treatment under the NSW Workers Compensation scheme regulated by the State Insurance Regulatory Authority.

Fees are billed in accordance with the SIRA Fees Order. Treatment must be approved by the insurer. No out-of-pocket fees apply where treatment is insurer-approved.

Cancellation Policy

Minimum 48 hours’ notice is required to avoid cancellation fees. Cancellation within 24 hours: 100% of session cost. Cancellation less than 48 hours: 50% of session cost.
